Gold Coast locals can look forward to an unforgettable cultural experience just up the M1 next February. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo will be held in Brisbane for the first time ever on 12 and 14 February 2026. Hosted at Suncorp Stadium, this special 75th anniversary edition is titled ‘The Heroes Who Made Us’.

Pipe Major Alisdair McLaren, with strong ties to Queensland’s piping community, will return to lead performers. Australian dancer Connor Ferguson, a two-time Tattoo performer, said his nearly two decades of dance training led to “a dream come true” moment on the Tattoo stage.

CEO Jason Barrett said: “This is a celebration of the human spirit… and the heroes who shape our communities.”
Tourism Minister Andrew Powell added: “This production honours veterans while drawing national and international visitors to Queensland.”
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner called the event “a cultural spectacle and major economic driver.”
Dustin Lockett, who produced the 2016 Melbourne Tattoo, said the 2026 Brisbane edition “promises to be one of the world’s most spectacular events.”
