Budget Bonza Bellyflops its Landing

Budget airline Bonza has called in administrators and all its flights from Gold Coast Airport have been being grounded.

Administrators from Hall Chadwick were appointed to Bonza on Tuesday and all flights nationally have been cancelled until at least Friday.

The Gold Coast is a major hub for Bonza with the company flying to as many as 11 destinations since November 2023.

The Gold Coast hub connected flights to Albury, Bundaberg, Gladstone, Mackay, Mildura, Whitsunday Coast, Rockhampton, Townsville, Cairns, Darwin and Melbourne.

Hall Chadwick are now in talks with secured creditors‚ government bodies‚ key suppliers‚ and contractors.
