Buyers flock into apartment tower
Gold Coast property developer Homecorp has sold 75 per cent of its wellness-inspired Florence Residences in a single weekend
The $210 million project, which commenced construction earlier this year, has seen a flurry of eager buyers secure their slice of the Gold Coast’s latest wellbeing-focused offering.
The Gold Coast’s population has grown more than 11 per cent since the COVID-19 pandemic, about four times faster than Sydney.
And while buyer activity has moderated in some markets nationally, the Gold Coast market remains strong.
“With evolving market conditions, we expect demand for new dwellings to remain strong as buyers and investors seek quality, certainty and long-term value,” said Homecorp founder Ron Bakir.
“More than ever, buyers today are looking for more than just a home.
“Lifestyle, longevity, proactive health, wellbeing, connection and a sense of community are increasingly shaping purchasing decisions, particularly on the Gold Coast where these factors continue to be a major drawcard.
“What we are seeing is a shift in how people define value in property.
“What attracts residents to new developments is a desire for more than just a residence, they are looking for a place that complements their lifestyle, supports their wellbeing and reflects the way they want to live into the future.”
The 26-storey Florence Residences is set to deliver 120 homes paired with a residents’ only wellness club that includes a resort-style rooftop pool, hot and cold plunge pools, a spa retreat, gymnasium and a yoga and Pilates studio.
Other features include a resident-only lounge with private dining and a rooftop bar, outdoor entertaining areas, a hotel-style lobby lounge, bike parking and pet-friendly perks including a heated dog wash.
The project is one of the latest additions to Homecorp’s expanding multi-billion-dollar property portfolio, which also includes plans for a $260 million development in Budds Beach.
A development application has been lodged with Council for a 27-storey, 156-residence tower at the coveted 8–10 Acacia Avenue and 25–27 Oak Avenue address, featuring a residents-only Moroccan spa-inspired sanctuary.
Apartments at Florence Residences are priced from $1,249,000, with construction anticipated to be completed by late 2027.
