CEOs sleeping Together for a Cause
More than 200 Gold Coast business owners and senior executives are set to spend a freezing night sleeping together at CBUS Super Stadium on Thursday (June 20) to raise money for charity.
The 223 business leaders will be raising money for the St Vincent de Paul Society, specifically for people experiencing homelessness and people at risk of homelessness.
The Gold Coast event has so far raised more than $470,000 this year, and organisers are hoping they will hit their $500,000 target.
Three executives from the Village Roadshow Theme Parks (Clark Kirby, Bikash Randhawa and Sanjay Bhatia) have so far raised more than $60,000 together, while three executives from Clarendon Homes (Jason Clayton, Glenn Kennedy and Tim Redway) have raised $23,000.
Led by Colin Wheeler, from Document Solutions, the annual fundraising event has become one of the most popular events on the social calendar for the city’s business elite.
Money raised from the event goes to help ensure that existing homeless services on the Gold Coast continue expanding to help the increasing number of Gold Coasters needing accommodation, meals, and emergency assistance.
