City beaches receive a makeover and remain closed until further notice
Restoration work has started on the city’s beaches following Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Council crews are working on the beaches with machinery to begin clearing debris and removing the 2m to 6m scarping along the coastline caused by the large swells and high tides.
