Coastsure reborn under national brand
Gold Coast insurance brokerage Coastsure Insurance Brokers is no more after being swallowed by its national insurance partner, Ausure.
The Nerang-based company, which serviced 1600 business clients, has this week been rebranded as Ausure Insurance Brokers Gold Coast.
Coastsure founder David Beard and his co-principal Rolf Van Dulst remain with the company, and it’s business as usual for the entire team.
Mr Beard said the merger meant the team has access to better technology and resources while their team would have greater opportunities for advancement.
Coastsure, which was founded in 2009, had worked closely with Ausure, acting as an Authorised Representative for 10 years before the merger.

“It was always Rolf and my intention to join Ausure,’’ Mr Beard said. “The merger was the next logical progression in the business.
“Now it is completed we are already seeing the benefits of being part of the national group,’’ Mr Beard said.
The merger was announced in July last year and the final step in the process was this week’s rebranding of the Gold Coast operation.
Mr van Dulst has been appointed as Ausure’s General Manager of Broking. His role involves managing Ausure’s wholly owned broking businesses across the country.
Mr Beard is now working in a leadership and mentoring role.
growing client portfolio. This initiative, to finally merge the business fully into the national Ausure Broking group, was again the next logical progression,” he said.
Mr van Dulst said the move offered additional support to local clients.
“The great thing about Coastsure being part of the Ausure business is that our clients get the best of both worlds with the same personal professional service they have come to expect from the team at Nerang whilst having access to the national strength and resources of the Ausure group,” he said.
