Crafted turns ten with Tate tinnie
Crafted Festival marks 10 years with the Tom Tate Tinnie, live music, breweries, food and Gold Coast fun.
What’s happening?
Crafted Festival is marking its tenth year on the Gold Coast with a limited-edition Tom Tate Tinnie.
The Surf Lager has been created as a playful nod to Tom Tate and the city’s laid-back sense of humour.
The tenth edition will bring together craft beer, live music, food and community, with tickets on sale now.
The Vanns will headline the festival, joined by Gold Coast acts Selve, Phil and The Blanks, SPACE&AGES and Laurel Hill.
Festivalgoers will also find line dancing, Beer Yoga and a ping pong competition across the event.
Food will play a major role too, with a food extravaganza, live BBQ cooking demos at Crafted Smokeshow and hot wing eating competitions.
Why it matters?
Crafted has become part of the Gold Coast events calendar by mixing beer, music, food and local character.
This year’s Tom Tate Tinnie gives the tenth edition a strong local hook, while keeping the festival’s playful tone.
Crafted Festival co-founder Anna Cook said the milestone event was set to lift the energy again.
“Crafted has always been about bringing people together for great beer, great music and a genuinely good time, and this year we are turning that up in every possible way.”
Local Impact
The festival keeps the Gold Coast at the centre of its story, with Burleigh Brewing helping bring the limited-edition can to life.
Burleigh Brewing has long been regarded as a cornerstone of the Gold Coast beer industry, with a history of celebrating local stories and people.
Burleigh Brewing Co CEO and Co-Founder Peta Fielding said the brewery was proud to be involved.
“If the Gold Coast is being shouted a beer, it better be a good one, and that’s a standard we take seriously. We’re proud to bring Burleigh quality to this can and to be part of celebrating ten years of a festival that’s been as good for this city as the beer we put in it.”
The Tom Tate Tinnie also carries a charitable link, with every sip contributing a donation to E Suarve.

Zoom In
Tom Tate said the limited-edition can was a fun way to mark the festival’s milestone.
“I’ve always said the Gold Coast is the place to have a crack. In this case, beer lovers can crack open a Tom Tate Tinnie.
“Like me, it’s original, has some character, is refreshing and a conversation starter.
“Have a few Tom Tate Tinnies and you may even end up speaking a bit of Tom Tate lingo which is a bonus as I’m looking for some new one-liners to add to my vocabulary as the year rolls out.
“Congratulations to Burleigh Brewing, Crafted and Code Four on the 10th annual Crafted Festival. The best part of the TT Tinnie, with every sip, a donation goes to E Suarve. Make mine a slab.”

Zoom Out
Crafted is also growing beyond the Gold Coast.
Newcastle is now part of the Crafted family, while Melbourne will host the festival for the first time in 2026.
Cook said that expansion made the tenth year feel larger.
“To now be taking Crafted back to Newcastle and launching in Melbourne for the first time makes this year feel even bigger.”
What To Look For Next?
With tickets now on sale, the next chapter is the tenth-year festival itself.
The Gold Coast edition is shaping up as a major celebration of craft beer, live music, local food and the festival’s next stage of growth.
