Developer plans 700 more homes at Highfield
Gold Coast-based property developer Creative Wealth has lodged plans with Toowoomba Regional Council for an additional 700 dwellings at its Botanic project at Highfields.
The developer has lodged plans for stages 10 through to 23 at the 62-hectare site on Highfields Road. Its first seven stages have sold, and its eighth stage is soon to hit the market.
In its latest application, the company, which is headed by Damien Gwynne, has asked the council to approve 546 standard residential lots and 187 dwellings in an adjoining Over 50’s lifestyle community
Mr Gwynne said Botanic continued to perform exceptionally well, with 203 lots sold since launch and a waitlist of over 200 buyers ahead of the Stage 8 release.
“Enquiry remains very strong and, given current land supply levels, we don’t expect sales to slow in the near term,’’ said Mr Gwynne.
“Looking ahead, we see Highfields and Toowoomba as a thriving and continually growing region over the next five years, driven by the great lifestyle and major infrastructure investment like the Inland Rail, the new Toowoomba Hospital, continued investment in education, growth in defence and aerospace at Wellcamp, renewable energy projects, and of course, residential development”
When completed, the Botanic subdivision is planned to comprise 1249 dwellings, with 829 houses and 420 over-50s dwellings in two separate communities.
The company says the community will feature a 6.2ha park and more than 38ha of open space.
In future stages, the company hopes to develop a 4350sqm neighbourhood shopping centre for cafes, medical outlets and other stores.
