Find answers to legal woes
Gold Coast residents with questions about legal matters are being urged to attend a morning tea in Southport next month.
Federal, State and local government agencies are teaming up to hold the information event called “Communi’TEA” at Southport Library from 10 am on Friday, May 17.
Representatives from the Queensland Police Service, Office of Fair Trading, Centrelink, QSTARS Tenancy Support, Community Legal Centre, City of Gold Coast, and NDIS will all be at the event to answer questions.
Organisers say attendees will be welcome to ask questions in relation to financial support, tenancy, traffic rules, aged care, disability, city council operations, library resources, neighbourhood disputes, work-related concerns, legal advice, wills/power of attorney, scams/fraud awareness, and domestic family violence, among others.
The event is free, and no bookings are required.
