Former Miami resort to be transformed
A former beachfront resort at Miami is set to be transformed into a glamorous low-rise apartment complex designed by one of the region’s leading architecture firms.
The site of the former resort, previously known as Nobby’s Outlook, is set to be redeveloped into a mixture of 46 luxurious apartments spread across four levels. The current two-storey building also has 46 apartments.
The original Nobby’s Outlook resort, which was built in 1996, was renamed Nalu in 2018 after it was purchased Paul Solomon, a Melbourne-based executive of Moose Toys, who bought the site for $23.75m in 2017.
Monaco Property Group has since bought the 7238sqm property for $70 million and gained the green light from City of Gold Coast to redevelop the property after lodging plans designed by BDA Architecture.
Under the approved plans Nalu will have four storey of apartments, a roof terrace and a basement carpark accommodating 137 residential car parking spaces and 8 visitor car parking spaces.
Private roof terraces on the fifth floor will be provided for 11 of the 46 apartments. The rooftop will feature private terrace with pool and spa facilities, dining areas and outdoor lounge space.

On the ground floor the developer plans to build communal recreational spaces including a residents’ lounge, gym, a yoga/pilates space, spa and a wellness facility.
