Gold Coast residents charged over daylight robbery
Two Gold Coast residents have been charged after shots were fired during a daylight raid on a home in the southern Ipswich township of Purga.
A 29-year-old Willow Vale woman and a 34-year-old Nerang man were among three people charged in relation to the incident.
Police were called to an address on Ipswich Boonah Road around 4.35pm on Monday after reports of three armed intruders breaking into the property and that shots had been fired.
On arrival, officers found a resident who had managed to escape the property uninjured, and identified three, armed people were still close to property.
Specialist officers negotiated with the group for several hours, before all three were taken into custody around 9:45pm without incident.

The third person, a 32-year-old Kensington Grove man, was charged with two counts of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, and one count each of serious assault officer while armed with a weapon, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, authority required to possess explosives, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
