McCormack Industries teams up with Digga Australia
McCormack Industries has merged with Digga Australia, creating new growth opportunities while maintaining independent operations.
Darling Downs headquartered McCormack Industries has been merged with Gold Coast equipment manufacturer Digga Australia.
The marriage brings together two companies that have very similar backgrounds and experience.
Digga, which builds more than 80 different attachments for machinery including earthmovers and tractors, employs more than 250 staff and exports to 50 countries.
McCormack Industries, who are regarded as “the Front-End Loader People” has been a family-owned business on the Darling Downs for 40 years. McCormack is considered a leading manufacturer of agricultural and large construction attachments. Its customers are mainly in Queensland and northern New South Wales.
Digga Australia chief executive officer Zoe Conde said the acquisition of McCormack Industries was a major milestone for the Yatala-headquartered coming.
“This acquisition will open new opportunities for Digga in the agricultural and front loader industries, markets which we have started to venture into, but are eager to explore this exciting new avenue and look forward to the opportunities it will bring to both the Digga and McCormack brand,’’ Ms Conde said.
McCormack Industries, which employs 37 people, have built a strong brand in the agricultural sector over the past 40 years.
It will continue to operate independently from both Digga and another subsidiary, Kanga, and continue to manufacture from its Aubigny factory.
“We are excited that the current owner, Brendan McCormack, will be staying on in a Business Development Manager/Sales role and continuing his career within the Digga Group,’’ said Ms Conde.
“We remain committed to delivering top-quality Australian-made products across all our brands.”
