Mother charged with daughter’s murder
A 46-year-old woman has been charged with murder following the death of a 10-year-old girl in Carrara on Tuesday night (August 13).
A 46-year-old woman has been charged with murder following the death of a 10-year-old girl in Carrara on Tuesday night (August 13).
Police race to the home just after 6pm last night after receiving a frantic phone call from the girl’s father, who had discovered the unresponsive girl.
On arrival, emergency services attempted to revive the girl but she was declared dead at the scene.
Police found the 46-year-old woman, who is believed to the girl’s mother, in the area around 10.25pm and took her into custody.
She was later charged with murder.
