Nerang Caravan Park set to be redeveloped
Developers are eyeing off a 4.7ha site on Nerang River that is now the home of the Nerang Caravan Park.
The property, which is earmarked for medium-density development, is now on the market through an expression of interest campaign being run by CBRE.
Marketing documents for the sale say the caravan park at 73 Nerang Street produces annual revenue of $1 million but it is the site’s potential that is attracting developers.
“The development site is well positioned for a range of residential development outcomes, supported by local community facilities and commercial uses,’’ CBRE says.
“A building height overlay permits development up to 23 metres, enabling a range of medium-rise residential outcomes.”
Subject to approvals, the site could be redeveloped to include a mix of low-rise apartments, small-lot housing and townhouses.
With the Gold Coast’s population surging, the shortage of development-ready land on the Gold Coast is one of the main attractions of the Nerang property.
