Tweed Seagulls RLFC have appointed Joe O’Callaghan as their new Hostplus Cup head coach on a two-year deal.
Why it matters
Officially stepping into the role from mid to late October 2025 after relocating from Sydney, O’Callaghan joins the Seagulls with extensive and elite coaching experience and a proven track record of success.
By the numbers
Most recently with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, he served as NRL Assistant Coach, NSW Cup Head Coach, NRL Development Coach, and Jersey Flegg Head Coach.
In 2014, O’Callaghan led Northern Pride to the QLD Cup Premiership and NRL State Championship.
In 2023, he guided the Rabbitohs to the NSW Cup Premiership and NRL State Championship title.
