QLD finalists recognised in 2025 You are ACE Awards
Finalists are honoured for innovation and care ahead of Aged Care Employee Day on 7 August.
What’s happening?
Ageing Australia has announced the finalists for the 2025 You are ACE! Awards ahead of Aged Care Employee Day on Thursday, 7 August.
The awards recognise outstanding work in aged care, retirement living and seniors housing. More than 500 nominations were received from across Australia, with Queensland strongly represented across many of the 15 award categories.
Ageing Australia CEO Tom Symondson said, “We’ve had a tremendous number of people nominated this year, which speaks volumes about the dedication across our sector.”
He added, “During a time of major reform, more people than ever are working incredibly hard to support older Australians, and the You are ACE! Awards are our chance to recognise, celebrate and thank those making a real difference every day.”
Why it matters?
The awards highlight how teams and providers across Queensland are improving aged care every day. From frontline support to creative initiatives, this year’s finalists show how aged care is evolving across the state.
Local Impact
St Vincent’s Care is among the most recognised providers this year, earning multiple finalist spots including in the Consumer Focus and Care category. With a history dating back more than 175 years, the organisation has embraced new ways to connect with communities.
One of its standout projects is the Celebrating You series, which shares real stories from residents, families and staff. Through short videos and a podcast, the series aims to shift public perception of aged care. Since its launch in 2023, the campaign has attracted over 140,000 website visits, hundreds of podcast listeners and thousands of video views.
