Sea search enters second day
A full-scale search for 20-year-old man who disappeared while swimming off Main Beach on Tuesday evening has entered its second day.
Water Police vessels, jetskis, PolAir, SSUV Beach Rhinos, police on foot and lifesavers teamed up to search for the man who was seen struggling in the water off Breaker Street around 6.30pm on Tuesday.
The witnesses who saw the man’s struggles had initially attempted to help but lost sight of him in the water.
Emergency Services started searching for the man soon after but the search was called off at 8.30pm Tuesday due to lack of light.
Police have not yet named the missing man but he is believed to be a tourist.
