Seniors Month in the Hinterland

Queensland Seniors Month is celebrated in October each year and there are many events occurring across the Gold Coast.

Here is a list of what’s happening in the hinterland to engage and connect seniors.

Seniors Open Day Tour & Devonshire Tea

• Thursday, 10 October 10 am-2 pm

• Gold Coast Hinterland Heritage Museum: 238 Mudgeeraba Rd, Mudgeeraba

Step back in time and enjoy a free tour of this expertly curated home of iconic hinterland history, followed by a delicious Devonshire Tea. The knowledgeable volunteers are looking forward to showing you around. This event is free, just register via info.gchhmuseum@gmail.com or 07 5559 1457. 

Free Music Concert

• Sunday 20 October 1 pm-3 pm

• Mudgeeraba Memorial Hall, 62 Railway St, Mudgeeraba

Join the Hinterland Community Band and Mudgeeraba Lions Club for a free afternoon of fun music, including swing, movie themes, and pop tunes. Afternoon tea will be provided.

Cycling Without Age in Mudgeeraba 

• Monday 28 October 9am-12 pm

• D’Arcy Doyle Park, Mudgeeraba

If you or a loved one wants to enjoy the fresh air and feel the wind in your hair, then please join Cycling Without Age for a FREE morning ride in the park along the creek with experienced volunteer pilots. Come along as you are, no booking is required.
