The Star secures global star for spectacle
The Star Gold Coast has scored a coup, securing a one-night stand from music legend Don McLean.
The “American Pie” singer, now 81 years old, will play a one-night show at The Star on October 14 this year as part of his Australian tour.
McLean continues to captivate audiences with performances more than 50 years after American Pie reshaped popular music.
Released in 1971, American Pie is still one of the world’s most recognised songs, but McLean’s legacy extends far beyond a single hit. Other classic songs, such as Vincent (Starry, Starry Night), Castles in the Air, and And I Love You So, are sure to appeal to his fans.
McLean has performed around the world for more than 50 years, and he has released 21 studio albums.
