Uber driver fighting for life after Coomera stabbing

A Gold Coast-based Uber driver is fighting for her life after being stabbed multiple times in the face and neck at a Coomera shopping centre this morning.

Police and ambulance officers raced to Westfield Coomera’s dining precinct just off Foxwell Road at 1.25am after receiving reports the woman had been attacked.

The 32-year-old woman reportedly suffered significant wounds to her neck and face. The victim was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

Police taped off the crime scene, centred on a drop-off zone on Main Street, and a white SUV was towed from the scene to undergo further forensic testing.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with relevant vision to come forward.
