Woman arrested after Southport attack
A 29-year-old Southport woman has been arrested after an attack on a homeless man in Southport on Wednesday morning.
Police alleged the woman approached the 54-year-old man at the corner of Scarborough Street and Young Street at 12.30am and repeatedly kicked and assaulted him, before stealing his bag.
The man sustained significant injuries and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition where he remains in an induced coma.
Police tracked the alleged attacker to High Street where she was arrested a short time later.
