Zombies leaving the Gold Coast
A team of fictitious zombie hunters have officially packed their bags and are leaving the Gold Coast after production of a new movie wrapped up.
Comedy horror film Zombie Plane, which features an incredible cast of B-list actors and celebrities who are mostly playing fictitious versions of themselves, is the latest in a long line of films to have used the Gold Coast as a filming and production location.
The film’s cast includes Chuck Norris, Sir Bob Geldof, Vanilla Ice, Ice-T, Sophie Monk, Stephen Curry, John Jarratt, singer Amy Shark and actor/singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
The plot of the film, which apparently has Commander Chuck Norris leading a team of global celebrities to fight off zombies, sounds horrific.
Rapper turned actor Ice-T has reportedly filmed scenes on the Gold Coast with Curry, and radio big head Kyle Sandilands.
The Australian directors Lav Bodnaruk and Mike Mier says the film will combine the comedy of “Shaun of the Dead” with the horror of "World War Z” with the look and feel of “The Barbie Movie”.
