Brisbane Tattoo 2026 expands to four nights
Fans helped sell out the Tattoo’s Saturday show. Now, two more Brisbane dates have been added for Feb 2026.
What’s happening?
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo will make its exclusive return to Australia in February 2026 with a first-ever Brisbane season — and Gold Coast fans have already helped sell it out.
The Saturday 14 February show at Suncorp Stadium sold out during the presale, prompting organisers to add two more performances on Friday 13 and Sunday 15 February. The original Thursday 12 February show remains available. Tickets for all dates went on sale at 10am AEST on Wednesday 21 May via Ticketek.
Why it matters:
Renowned for its bagpipes, precision marching, and theatrical spectacle, the Tattoo is one of the most iconic live performances in the world. Its arrival in Brisbane marks not just a return to Australia, but a major cultural milestone for Queensland. The 2026 tour will celebrate the Tattoo’s 75th anniversary with a brand-new stadium-scale production: “The Heroes Who Made Us.”
For Gold Coast residents, it offers a once-in-a-generation opportunity to see a global performance just an hour up the road.
Local Impact:
With no shows scheduled for Sydney or Melbourne, the Brisbane season is the only Australian stop — and demand is already high. Gold Coasters are expected to travel en masse to Suncorp Stadium, injecting tourism dollars into the broader South East Queensland economy.
Many local military families, performance schools, and cultural communities will be among the thousands making the short trip north to see the Tattoo live.
By the Numbers:
Four Brisbane shows only: 12, 13, 14 (sold out), and 15 February 2026
More than 1,000 performers from Australia, UK, Europe, New Zealand and more
230,000 annual attendees in Edinburgh and 100 million+ global broadcast viewers

Jason Barrett, CEO of the Tattoo, praised the Queensland response:
“The response from Queensland has been phenomenal. To be announcing third and fourth shows at Suncorp Stadium is a true testament to the excitement and passion Australians have for the Tattoo. As we count down to our historic debut in Brisbane, we’re more inspired than ever to deliver a world-class spectacle that honours tradition, celebrates community, and leaves a lasting legacy in Queensland.”
Zoom Out:
This large-scale stadium production — the Tattoo’s most ambitious yet — is supported by the Queensland Government, Tourism and Events Queensland, and Brisbane City Council through Brisbane Economic Development Agency, with presenting partner RACQ.
Performances will include Scottish bagpipes, massed pipes and drums, precision marching, dancers, and world-renowned groups like the Top Secret Drum Corps and the Australian Defence Force. The experience is enhanced with immersive sound design, lighting, and projections.
